Terms of Use & Safety Notice
Last updated: October 19, 2026
Educational content only
Everything on this site is general educational information. It is not professional, engineering, safety, legal or financial advice. Woodworking involves sharp tools, power tools, dust and finishing chemicals. Follow each tool and product manufacturer’s instructions, wear suitable protection, and get hands-on instruction before using a tool you do not know.
Example plans have not been built
The pencil holder and desk tray are original example designs. Their drawings are computer-generated from the written dimensions. No one has built or tested them in a workshop, so dimensions, fit and drilling depths may need adjustment. Check your actual material thickness, dry-fit before gluing and test on scrap. They are light-duty desk items: do not use them for load-bearing, food-contact, children’s or safety-critical purposes, and do not lift the glue-only tray by its rim.
Your use of the plans
You may use the free example plans and drawings for personal learning and to make items for yourself, family and friends. Please do not republish the pages or drawings as your own. Before selling anything you make, consider product safety, materials and local requirements.
No warranty and limit of liability
The site and its content are provided “as is”, without warranties of any kind. To the extent permitted by law, we are not liable for injury, damage or loss arising from use of the site or from building any project described on it. You are responsible for your own safety and for checking that any plan suits your tools, skills and materials.
Third-party links and offers
We link to independent websites and to a third-party offer that we do not control. Prices, terms and refund policies are set by those sellers and can change. See the Affiliate Disclosure.
